FAI EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR SCALE MODEL AIRCRAFT 2011

Date: 22^nd-30^th July 2011

Location: city of Ploiesti, situated 60 km NE of Bucharest and 45 km from Bucharest-Otopeni International Airport

Airfirld name: Aerodrom Strejnic

Airfield location: 5 km West of Ploiesti

Elevation: 183 m

Main runway: 750m asphalt

150 x 900 m parallel grass

Model facility:

-Runway for F4C models, 750 m asphalt

-Flying day: from the sunrise to sunset

Hangar

Hangar to the competitor’s disposal will be available from July 22^nd through July 30^th 2011.

Each team will have a maintenance area with tables, chairs and 220V power supply.

Hangar will be protected and guarded round the clock.

Transportation from the hangar to flightline: within walking distance (100m):each competitor will transport his own model and equipment.

Participation

A National team may consist of:

-Team Manager

-Maximum 3 senior competitors

-Helpers and supporters

The 2009 reigning European Champion is invited to take part.

If he is not member of the national team, his score will not be considered in the team results.

Licensing

Each competitor, team manager and team manager assistant must possess a valid FAI License, valid 2011, issued by their NAC.

Classification and awards

There will be an individual classification and a team classification.

Winners will be awarded with medals, diplomas and cups.

Official contest languages are:

-English

-Romanian

Entry fees

-senior competitors 350 EUR

-TM, TM’s Assistant 350 EUR

-helper 70 EUR

-supporter 70 EUR

-press representative 0 EUR

The entry fee consists of participation card, information bulletins, and souvenirs.
